Indian cuisine is legendary everywhere on the planet but when it comes to sweets, their regional delights are an institution in itself. Mysore Pak is a sweet dish which is usually adored by everybody, this lovely delight is the Royal sweet of the South.
Mysore Pak, is an Indian ghee-licious sweet originating from the town of Mysore in Karnataka and "Pak" is a Kannada word meaning sweet concoction. It had been first prepared within the Mysore Palace's Kitchen in the 17th & 18th Century. One can experience a deep richness of a simple mixture of sugar, gram flour, ghee, and cardamom (ilaichi).
This culinary gem is genuine in flavour and a melt-in-your-mouth sweet. It’s also known with a special name in some regions of India namely Besan Barfi, other variants with some more ingredients added to Mysore Pak are made and called Badam Mysore Pak, Coconut Mysore Pak. and Jaggery Mysore Pak.
